1. General information
The basic objective of this subject is to ensure that the students of the Psychology Degree acquire the fundamental knowledge of this discipline, especially with regard to the basic psychological mechanisms and processes that underlie the needs and difficulties in the teaching-learning processes, the fundamental elements for their evaluation, diagnosis and intervention strategies.
These approaches and goals are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 (such that the acquisition of the https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), learning results of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to the achievement of the goals related to health and well-being, quality education and reduction of inequalities.

Identify the fundamental research methods and techniques and their applicability to educational psychology through the different design or specific techniques.

Reflect critically on research hypotheses, methods, results and limitations.

Consult relevant and up-to-date documentary sources and extract relevant information to solve different types of educational problems from an evidence-based perspective.

Identify the different intra- and interpersonal and environmental factors that influence the educational process and know how to modify or optimize them

Adopt multiple points regarding the relevant theories on learning, intelligence and motivation and know how to argue them in varying degrees of depth depending on the target audience.

Differentiate between the different types of teaching methodologies, relate them to the different theoretical positions and know how to identify and correct the most frequent errors in their application, and suggest intervention proposals to achieve the inclusion of underprivileged students.

Select relevant educational diagnostic and assessment tests, apply them and interpret the scores correctly .

Identify information and communication technologies relevant to education and be able to critically evaluate them.

Work as a team in the resolution of problems and cases related to the optimization of the teaching-learning process and psychoeducational intervention and critically evaluate their performance

3. Syllabus
Block 1: Conceptualization of the subject.
Block 2. Attentional bases of learning.
Block 3: Specific learning disorders.
Block 4: Neurodevelopmental disorders.
Block 5: Learning and diverse capabilities
4. Academic activities
Large group activities (60/80 students): Theoretical-practical sessions in which the contents of the subject will be worked on. 30 hours.
Small group activities (15/25 students). Problem solving and case studies and elaboration of a group project . 30 hours.
Non-face-to-face activity of the students: Autonomous work of review of materials, elaboration of a learning portfolio and study. 87 hours.
Assessment tests. 3 hours.
5. Assessment system
Evaluation of the material taught in large group classes (50% of the final grade of the subject).
Students may choose one of two possible modes of evaluation:

Continuous evaluation: it will be based on different tests throughout the term with multiple-choice questions and 3 alternative answers. The correction of the test will follow the formula: [(A - (A - (E/2))/no. questions] x 10.

Final evaluation: evaluation test with multiple-choice questions with 3 answer alternatives. The correction of the test follows the formula: [(A - (E/2))/no. questions] x 10.
Evaluation of the material taught in small group classes (50% of the final grade of the subject):

Continuous evaluation: It will be mainly based on performing the activities proposed by the teacher and providing evidence of them in an electronic portfolio. The application of the contents of the different theories explained in subject will be valued mainly through the administration and correction of evaluation test and the resolution of problems and cases, as well as the search of information and decision making based on scientific evidence. Likewise, aesthetic and formal aspects of portfolios will be evaluated.

Final evaluation: practical exam consisting of the resolution of one or more cases and/or the commentary of a short text
It is necessary to get a 5 out of 10 in both sections (subject taught in large and small groups) to pass the subject.
Fraud or total or partial plagiarism in any of the evaluation tests will result in not passing the subject with the minimum grade, in addition to the disciplinary sanctions adopted by the Guarantee Committee for these cases.
